What this website collects when you use it, where that information goes, and who to ask about it.

This website, diakiteroofingrestoration.com, is run by Diakite Roofing & Restoration (legal name Diakite LLC), a roofing and siding company serving Columbia and Central Maryland. This page explains what the site collects and what happens to it.
What you send us through our forms
Our roof inspection forms ask for your name, phone number, email address and a short note about your roof or siding.
The Instant Estimate form also asks for the property address, the service you need, the age of your roof and how many stories your home has.
Every form also records the page you sent it from, and the button you pressed if the form opened in a pop-up.
We need your name and a phone number or email address to accept a request.
Where your request goes
When you send a form, your request is emailed to our business inbox, office@diakiteroofingrestoration.com, so we can call you back about your project.
A copy also goes to our website team, the agency that builds and runs this site for us, so they can see that every request arrives.
A record of each request is also saved in a log file on our web server, kept outside the public folders of the site. The record holds what you typed into the form, the page you sent it from, the address of the page you came from, your IP address and the time you sent it.
Phone calls from the website
When you tap or click one of our phone numbers, the site notes the click on our own server. That note holds the number you tapped, the words on the link, the page you were on, whether you were on a phone or a computer, and the time. It does not include your IP address.
The same click is also counted in Google Analytics, described below.
Cookies
dk_lead. After you send a form, the site sets one small cookie called dk_lead. It only applies to our thank-you page, lasts up to 10 minutes, and is removed as soon as the thank-you page reads it. It lets that page count one finished request in Google Analytics, so a direct visit to the thank-you page is not counted as a request.
Google Analytics. Our pages load Google Analytics 4, Google's website measurement tool, so we can understand how people find and use the site. It sets the cookies _ga and _ga_DF7538JKZE on this website, which last about 13 months. We also send it an event when someone taps a phone number or finishes a form.
Microsoft Clarity. Our pages also load Microsoft Clarity. Microsoft describes Clarity as a tool that shows how people use a website through session replays and heatmaps. It sets the cookies _clck (about a year) and _clsk (about a day) on this website, and more cookies on Microsoft's own clarity.ms and bing.com domains.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Our forms and phone links do not need cookies to work.
Services from other companies
Google Maps. Most pages show a Google map of the area we serve. The map loads from Google when it scrolls into view.
Google Fonts. Our blog posts and the Instant Estimate page load their fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser asks Google for the font files.
Financing. If you apply for financing, you do it on Enhancify's website, not ours. Enhancify is a separate company.
